Dr. Amin Astani is a co-founder and president of North Star Vascular & Interventional, bringing together advanced medical expertise with a deeply compassionate, patient-first approach. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, Dr. Astani pursued his passion for minimally invasive care through a diagnostic radiology residency at Henry Ford Hospital / Wayne State University, followed by specialized fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Throughout his career, Dr. Astani has held leadership roles as Chairman of Radiology across multiple hospital systems, where he emphasized clinical excellence paired with empathy and individualized care. His practice spans a broad range of conditions, including uterine fibroids, varicose veins, varicoceles, male infertility, benign prostate disease, liver tumors, knee pain, and osteoporotic spinal fractures—always with a focus on image-guided, minimally invasive solutions.
Beyond the procedure room, Dr. Astani is a dedicated educator and advocate for innovation in interventional care. He regularly participates in national conferences, lectures, and mentorship programs, sharing knowledge to advance both patient outcomes and professional collaboration.
